Update. It's happened twice specifically on "Alberysky Peachman"

I'm enjoying this game but I ran into an error where I suddenly can't click the folder for floor 1 anymore.

So I am immensely intrigued and I'm excited to play it, but the issue is that there seems to be an AWFUL LOT going on simultaneously, and I have little to no idea what does what. What is the purpose of firewood? What does the pentagram mean? What's up with the crows? There's a lot of mechanics I don't entirely understand and a tiny tutorial[or a read-me with instructions] would be lovely.

4GB RAM
2.2 GHZ processor with an integrated graphics card with a cap of 64MB[but I've pushed it to 250]

It's an older laptop from 2010 so that might be my problem.

Hey, I'm trying to launch this game but every time I do I get "Godot engine editor is not responding" and the game won't launch and just crash. I tried disconnecting my second monitor, no luck; I also ran as an administrator and tried running in both win 7 and win XP compatibility mode with still no change. I am running a windows 7 64 bit HP laptop.
